The Wood-Fired Oven was built by Alf Armstrong from Cumbria. Alf, who started building ovens for The Village Bakery in Melbury, is now one of Britain's leading exponents of the art of wood fired oven construction. Before coming to Cromarty to build Sutor Creek's oven for us, he built a large oven for Betty's Tearoom in Harrogate.
