Husband and wife team Graham and Phoebe Fox took over Sutor Creek in the summer
of 2010 with the simple aim of providing a welcoming environment offering exceptionally
cooked, local food.
A little history.. Originally from Burton on Trent in the midlands, Chef Graham Fox’s
culinary journey started in France at the age of 16 before he joined TV Chef Phil Vickery
at the award-winning Castle Hotel in Somerset, In 1999, Chef Fox won the Young chef
of the Year Award from Avery’s Food & Wine and then travelled to the states where he
ultimately became Executive Chef of North Carolina’s only 5 Star restaurant. Returning
to the UK after 9 years in the states, Chef Fox worked as Private Chef for Sir Anthony
Bamford of JCB fame before making the move to Sutor Creek Café in his wife’s family
home-town of Cromarty. Phoebe’s career includes 9 years as Director of Marketing
for North Carolina’s only 5 star hotel and restaurant, The Fearrington House, and
marketing coordinator for the award-winning Daylesford Organic Farmshop and Cafe in
Gloucestershire.
Graham and Phoebe are parents to two wonderfully spirited young boys who would like
nothing more than to make (and eat) pizzas all day long!
George Bewley
Training for an NVQ in culinary arts, George is learning the tricks of the trade from Chef
Fox. Working in small kitchen enables him to learn all aspects of cooking
Linda Fraser – Head Pizza Chef
Linda has been an integral part of Sutor Creek since its’ inception in 2004. Born and
brought up in Cromarty, Linda joined the original crew of Sutor Creek and has been
perfecting the art of pizza making ever since.
Pizza Chefs: Laura, Jerome, Al, Conor, Mark, and Liam have all mastered the art of artisan pizza making.
Front of House: Phoebe is joined by a great front of house team including Jenny, Claire, Eva, Laura, Sammie, Kelda, Rosalind and Bob.
